In this guide, you will find the detailed instructions to install MX Player on FireStick. The installation procedure provided here also works on Fire TV Stick 4K, FireStick 2nd Generation, Fire TV Cube, FireStick Lite.
MX Player is a media player for Android devices. Just like any other media player, MX Player plays videos and music files.
However, unlike VLC, this app is more commonly used in the background as a supporting player for several third-party streaming apps.
Some of these streaming apps do not work unless you have MX Player on your device. The others claim to offer a better streaming experience with it.
Since there are plenty of such apps that require MX Player one way or the other, I thought it would be a good idea to compose a dedicated installation guide for it.
Follow this guide to install MX Player on FireStick in minutes. Attention, FireStick Users! Governments and ISPs constantly monitor your online activity, and accessing copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick could lead to serious trouble.
Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I strongly recommend getting the best FireStick VPN to mask your IP address and securely stream your favorites.

Plus, if you're not 100% satisfied, you can always get a refund. ExpressVPN is currently also offering a whopping 3 extra months free on their annual plan!

Follow the steps below:. Go to the Find > Search option from the home screen of your FireStick.
Search for the Downloader app. When you see it in the search suggestions, click it and then follow the onscreen instructions to install it.
For more detailed instructions, read our guide on How to Install & Use Downloader to Sideload Apps.
Now, go back to the FireStick home screen and click Settings. Click My Fire TV. Click Developer Options. Now click Install Unknown Apps.
